Baptist Medical Centre is a 200-bed referral hospital of the Nigerian Baptist Convention, serving the Oke-Ogun area of Oyo State. Alongside the wards we train nurses, midwives, laboratory technicians and resident doctors, and run a nursery, primary and secondary school on the same grounds.

From a dispensary in a mission house
In May 1902 Rev. and Mrs. Duval began treating converts from their home on the hill at Okeboji. The modern hospital opened in 1952. After the missionaries left during the civil war, a nurse, Mr. T. A. Ogunjimi, kept it running, and in 1970 Dr. V. O. Fatunla became the first Nigerian Chief Medical Director.
